A new X-ray interferometric method is proposed in the paper for determining the density, unit cell volume and Loschmidt number for several high – molecular compounds by changing the interference (moire) patterns. It is shown that this method is equally applicable both for polycrystalline and single-crystal substances, and for amorphous and partially crystalline polymers. The above characteristics were determined for three amorphous polymers: polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene and polychloroprene. To confirm the validity, our experimental results were compared with the literature data. The experimental and literature data are in good agreement for all three polymers. The experimental errors are estimated.
