Synthesis Of Bioactive Glasses Doped With MnO: Thermal Analysis And Bioactivity Evaluation

This study introduces three-component glass materials SiO2-CaO-P2O5 doped with Mn in the form of MnO oxide. The material system is fabricated by sol-gel method combined with hydrothermal with fast fabrication time and limited use of acid catalyst. The synthetic glass material system was evaluated through thermal analysis, phase composition analysis, as well as in vitro testing. The key results show that the composite system shows biological activity through the formation of the bone mineral phase after in vitro experiments.
