This study effectuated the adsorption experiments of lead ions on the diatomite powder. The lead removal is significant efficiency (72.1%) after 5 hours of experiment. The adsorption isotherm study is effectuated by using two well-know models: Langmuir and Freundlich. The obtained results confirmed that both recommended models are suitable for lead ion removal. The R2 coefficients (close to 1) and maximum adsorption capacity (416.67 mg/g) are high values, confirmed the positive application of diatomite material for lead ion treatment.
