The confinement driven smectic-A to smectic-C phase transition is studied theoretically. The properties of the SmA-SmC phase transition in confinement environment is discussed within Landau theory. The influence of quenched disorder on the tilt angle, translational order, Landau coefficient and heat capacity near the SmA-SmC phase transition is discussed with phase diagrams. The tricritical behavior of SmA-SmC phase transition is observed in the presence of disorder.
