Roshan L. Aggarwal retired from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) effective April 1, 2016 after 51 years of service. He was Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory for 30 years (1986-2016), Senior Research Scientist, MIT Physics Department for 12 years (1975-1987), Associate Director, MIT Francis Bitter National Magnet Laboratory for 7 years (1977-1984), and Technical Staff, MIT Francis Bitter National Magnet Laboratory for 12 years (1965-1977).  Recently, he have published the following four books: (1) Donald T. Stevenson, Marion B. Reine, and Roshan L. Aggarwal, Benjamin Lax – Interviews on a Life in Physics at MIT, CRC Press 2019,  (2) Roshan L. Aggarwal and Kambiz Alavi, Simple Experiments in Optics, Cambridge Scholars Publishing 2019, (3) Roshan L. Aggarwal and Anant K. Ramdas, Physical Properties of Diamond and Sapphire, CRC Press 2019, and (4) Roshan L. Aggarwal and Kambiz Alavi, Introduction to Optical Components, CRC Press 2018. Dr. Aggarwal is a Fellow of the American Physical Society, a Senior Member of the Optical Society of America, a Fellow of the Punjab Academy of Sciences, and a Recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
