The main focus of the present study was the green synthesis of copper nanoparticle using stem extract of Periplocaaphyll. The biosynthesized copper nanoparticles confirmed by colour change, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FTIR and X-ray Diffraction analysis. UV-Vis spectroscopy showed characteristics plasmonic band of 317 nm corresponding to the formation of copper nanoparticles. Various functional groups involve in the synthesis of copper nanoparticles were identified by FTIR analysis. The crystalline nature of copper nanoparticles was investigated with the help of X-ray diffraction analysis. The synthesized copper nanoparticles at 0.001 µg/mLexhibit good bactericidal activities in vitro against Staphylococcus Aureus, Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi.
