In this study, a non-standard comparative harmonic analysis of two chosen compositions of a strict harmonic attitude “a cappella” style: “Macedonian Oro”, by Todor Skalovski, and “Era Una Flor”, by Jesus Romo, which are characterized by markedly different harmonies, is performed. The analysis was done with the aim of confirming the correlation between music and fractal geometry (the idea was to observe the presence of completely similar and quasi-self-similar fractals). In the melodic motifs, the initial steps of the Rauzi fractal construction processes, which was mathematically realized through Sturmian and non-Sturmian substitution, were observed. The impact of fractal shapes (which contribute to the construction of Rauzi fractals in musical motifs) on the listener’s experience of musical expression, is commented on. A potential mechanism of influence of the observed formation of Rauzy fractal in the musical piece, on the improvement of the properties of plant-based biomaterials, is proposed.
